Hands-On Science Exploration

Knights students have engaged multiple opportunities thus far this year to explore their studies in science and STEM initiatives in various hands-on projects and labs.  Most recently, students had the chance to explore Model Organisms through a lab on loan from the University of Pittsburgh Department of Biological Sciences Outreach Program.  With the aid of stereo microscopes and both live and prepared specimens loaned to us from Pitt, Ms. Kubik and the Knights covered many aspects of our Science curriculum while also learning about current scientific technologies and research techniques and applications.
