Cross-Curricular Mythology Unit

The Knights are ringing in the New Year by studying the mythology of Ancient Greece, incorporating Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. Students will be reading and writing about myths in Language Arts, conducting library research and creating a PowerPoint presentation on a specific god or goddess in Social Studies, and using the traits of that god or goddess to enhance their understanding of genetics in Science. Mythology is always a popular topic with middle school students, and this is a great opportunity to explore it across the curriculum.
