Nonfiction Makes for a Great Start in Language Arts

     The Knights are off to a great start in Language Arts, working with the essential life skill of reading nonfiction. We began the year by doing primary research through a classmate interview.  Students then wrote a paragraph introducing their partner to the class, culminating in an informal classroom presentation.  We will move forward with this unit by learning nonfiction literary terms and reading some high-interest nonfiction selections from our textbook.  We will have a nonfiction literary terms test on Friday, and students can access study materials by clicking on this link.
