Keeping it Real with Nonfiction
During the first nine weeks, the Knights explored the world of fiction in their Language Arts class by reading fictional novels and short stories. Now, we are excited to be moving on to nonfiction for the first part of the second nine weeks by studying nonfiction literary terms, applying what we've learned to a variety of nonfiction texts, and independently reading a nonfiction book from the library. Nonfiction reading is a real-life skill that students will put to good use for the rest of their careers as students and well beyond into adulthood.
