The Knights are off to a strong start in Language Arts. We started the year by applying literary terms to our own life through our "Story of Me" project and then moved onto a more detailed study of literary terms and the elements of plot. We have read three short stories so far, and the students just finished up with their first independent novel, Jordan Sonnenblick's Drums, Girls and Dangerous Pie. Look for library books at home this month, as the students just checked out an independent novel which needs to be read by November 2nd.
